How to do it
- Publish triggers a draft Your CMS sends a signed webhook, or an n8n flow watches your feed and calls the REST API for each new article.
- Write a reason to click The agent drafts a post around one specific takeaway from the article instead of just the headline.
- Fit each network Per-network length guardrails and the dry-run preview make sure each version fits X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Mastodon.
- Editor approves The editor approves, edits inline, or rejects drafts in the inbox.
- Reshare evergreen posts Ask a planning agent to include one older evergreen article each week in plan_week.
Most API rate limit errors are not about volume. They are about bursts: 50 requests in the same second after a cron job wakes up. Our new post shows three ways to smooth them out, with code. (Link with UTM tag)
Distribution is part of publishing
A blog post that is shared once with its headline gets a fraction of the readers it could. Good distribution means a post written for each network, a specific hook, and a second or third share for articles that stay useful. Agents can do the drafting for every article; an editor keeps the quality bar.
Setup
- Connect the networks you distribute to: LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon.
- Connect your CMS with a webhook, or use n8n or Zapier to watch for new posts.
- Give the agent the blog post promo template as its reference, and write brand memory rules for headlines and hooks.
Permissions
Give the distribution agent draft and schedule. For a steady blog, you might later promote it to auto-publish on one network through the trust ladder, since blog shares are low-risk and repetitive. Any guardrail failure demotes it back to draft-only at once.
Measuring distribution
Tag every shared link with the UTM builder and read sessions by network in your web analytics. Compare hooks: a surprising fact, a question, a step from the article. Per-post metrics show engagement where the network returns it. Evergreen reshares are worth tracking separately; see evergreen content.
Pitfalls
- Headline-only posts. Require a specific takeaway in brand memory rules.
- Link previews. LinkedIn posts carry one image; choose it on purpose.
- Resharing too often. Duplicate protection blocks identical text, but reshare the same article with a new angle and spacing of weeks, not days.
