Writers, designers, coaches, and independent creators who post on their own

A social media scheduler for solo creators who think in chats

You already brainstorm posts with an AI assistant. SocialHandoff turns that chat into a scheduled week: ask your assistant to plan it, review the drafts on your phone, and let them publish on X, Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.

Creators juggle a notes app full of ideas, a chat full of drafts, and a scheduler that wants everything pasted in by hand. Copying between them takes longer than writing, so posting becomes sporadic, and sporadic posting is what stalls audience growth.

How to do it

  1. Plan in one chat Ask Claude Desktop or ChatGPT to plan next week. The assistant calls plan_week and drafts posts over MCP.
  2. See the calendar in the chat The calendar card shows the planned week right inside your MCP client.
  3. Approve on your phone Swipe through the week in the PWA. Tap to fix a line, reject what does not feel right.
  4. Publish on schedule Approved posts go out at their slots, with retries and duplicate protection.
A thing nobody tells you about freelancing: your rate matters less than your minimum project size. I raised mine from 1 day to 1 week and my income went up while my admin went down. Here is how I explained it to clients.

From chat to calendar without copy and paste

Most creators already have a writing partner in an AI chat. The gap is getting those drafts into a schedule without losing an evening to copying, formatting, and fixing lengths. With SocialHandoff, the assistant you already use writes directly into your queue over MCP, and nothing publishes until you approve it.

Setup

  1. Start the hosted trial or self-host. See getting started.
  2. Connect your accounts: X, Bluesky, Mastodon, or LinkedIn, plus Threads, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
  3. Connect your assistant with Claude Desktop or ChatGPT. The MCP config generator helps.
  4. Tell brand memory how you write, including the quirks that make you you.

Permissions

Give your assistant draft and schedule, and analytics if you want it to plan around what worked. You approve. If a recurring format such as a weekly tip always passes review, you can promote the assistant for that network on the trust ladder.

Measuring growth

Look at per-post metrics weekly, where networks return them, and ask your assistant to summarize with get_insights. Treat best-time suggestions as heuristics. For a small account, the number of replies from people you want to reach is a better signal than impressions.

Pitfalls

  • One post, five networks, same text. Use the cross-post length checker and let the assistant adapt tone per network.
  • Planning too far ahead. A week is enough; plans drift after that.
  • Automating replies. Conversations are where creators build relationships. Keep them personal.

Formats that suit creators: tips thread, question post, behind the scenes.

Frequently asked questions

Which assistants can plan my week?
Any MCP client works, including Claude Desktop, ChatGPT as a custom connector, Cursor, and Gemini CLI.
Can I post to Instagram or TikTok?
Yes. SocialHandoff supports Instagram professional accounts and TikTok, along with X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, and Facebook Pages. Meta and TikTok review your developer app before it can post beyond test accounts, and TikTok posts are private-only until TikTok audits the app.
Do I have to approve every post?
By default, yes. Once you trust a recurring format, you can promote the agent to auto-publish on specific networks.
