Facebook post scheduler for Pages, with approval built in

SocialHandoff schedules posts to Facebook Pages that AI agents draft and a person approves. Sign in once, pick your Pages, and each one becomes its own channel for text, links, photos, or video.

Limits

Where you can postFacebook Pages only. The API does not allow posting to personal profiles or to Groups through SocialHandoff.
Page accessYou need a role on the Page that allows creating content.
PhotosOne photo with alt text, or up to 10 photos in one post.
VideoOne video per post.
Text and linksText-only and link posts are supported; Facebook builds the link preview.
TokensPage tokens do not expire, so a connected Page stays connected unless access is removed.
  • Keep the key message in the first 2 lines; Facebook shortens longer posts behind See more.
  • Use one strong photo with alt text rather than several weak ones.
  • Give each Page its own voice in brand memory if you run Pages for different audiences.
  • Tag links with UTM parameters so you can tell Facebook traffic apart in analytics.
  • Review Page roles regularly so only current team members can connect a Page.

Scheduling Facebook posts natively

Meta Business Suite lets you schedule posts to a Page: create a post, choose Schedule instead of Publish now, and pick a time. You can also schedule from the Page itself. That covers posts you write by hand. There is no way for an AI agent to put a draft in front of you there, and no approval step between a draft and the Page.

Scheduling Facebook Page posts with SocialHandoff

An agent drafts a post with draft_post or schedule_post, choosing which Page it is for. The draft waits in your approval inbox with a preview and guardrail results: banned topics, missing alt text, blocked link shorteners, and per-Page daily limits. You approve, reject, request edits, or edit inline. Approved posts publish at the scheduled time; an agent can never approve its own draft.

Many Pages, one sign-in

When you connect Facebook, you pick Pages during sign-in. Every Page you can create content on is added as its own channel. You can scope each agent key to specific Pages, so an agent writing for one client or product cannot post to another.

Trust ladder and kill switch

A new agent starts draft-only. After clean approvals you can promote it to publish on a Page without waiting, by hand or through policy in your repo. A guardrail failure demotes it immediately, and the kill switch pauses every agent and holds queued posts.

What SocialHandoff supports on Facebook

  • Text and link posts to Pages.
  • One photo with alt text, or up to 10 photos in one post.
  • One video per post.
  • Every Page granted at sign-in connected as its own channel.
  • Per-post metrics for reactions, comments, and shares, where Meta returns them.

Media is built as an unpublished upload first, and SocialHandoff never resends the final publish call blindly, so a retry does not create a duplicate post.

Setup notes

You connect through your own Meta app with Facebook Login. For Pages owned by anyone other than your app's testers, Meta requires app review and Business Verification before posting.

Tools, templates, and agent guides

Check image dimensions in the image size guide, tag links with the UTM builder, and compare lengths with the cross-post length checker. Templates that work on Pages: event announcement, hiring post, and maintenance notice.

Agent setups for Facebook: Claude Code for Facebook, Cursor for Facebook, Zapier for Facebook, and LangChain for Facebook.

Frequently asked questions

Can SocialHandoff post to my personal Facebook profile?
No. Facebook's API only allows publishing to Pages, so SocialHandoff connects Pages you manage, not personal profiles.
Can I connect several Facebook Pages at once?
Yes. Pick your Pages when you sign in with Facebook, and every Page you can create content on is added as its own channel.
What can I post to a Facebook Page with SocialHandoff?
Text and link posts, one photo with alt text, up to 10 photos, or one video.
Do Facebook Page connections expire?
Page tokens do not expire, so a Page stays connected until someone removes access or changes the Page roles.
